  • Ateshgah Fire Temple visit
  • See the ever-burning Yanar Dagh
  • Explore the stunning Heydar Aliyev Center

  • Day trip to Gobustan National Park
  • Visit the petroglyphs and open-air rock museum
  • Stop at the bubbling mud volcanoes nearby
  • Return to Baku, evening at leisure

  • Drive to Gabala in the Caucasus foothills
  • Ride the Tufandag cable car
  • Spend time at Nohur Lake

Tips to Make Your Trip Better
  • Layer your outfits – Mornings and evenings are cool, afternoons can surprise you
  • Bring walking shoes – Baku’s Old City and Gobustan both have uneven paths
  • Cash for local shops – Markets in Sheki and Gabala aren’t always card-ready
  • Learn a few words – “Salam” goes a long way
  • Take it slow in Gabala – Don’t rush the nature spots; they’re better when unhurried
