Itinerary

Day 01Delhi to Sonprayag (Via Rishikesh)

Evening departure from Delhi in a tempo traveller.
Overnight journey to Sonprayag.
Scenic drive passing through Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Day 02Reach Guptkashi / Sitapur

Begin your scenic drive to Sonprayag via Devprayag and Rudraprayag, witnessing the beautiful confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
En route, visit the revered Dhari Devi Temple.
Reach Sonprayag by evening and check-in to your hotel.
Overnight stay at Sonprayag.

Day 03Trek to Kedarnath (16 km)

Depart to Sonprayag and take a shared jeep to Gaurikund.
Begin the moderate trek to Kedarnath (by foot / pony / doli / helicopter at your own cost).
The trek takes approx 8–10 hours, with stunning mountain and river views along the way.
By evening, attend the divine Aarti at the Kedarnath Temple (approx. 6:30 PM).
Overnight stay near the temple at guesthouse/camps.

Day 04Descend to Gaurikund – Back to Guptkashi

After breakfast, begin your return drive through the spiritual heartlands of Uttarakhand.
Arrive in Haridwar by 6–8 PM, filled with a sense of peace and divine energy after this soul-enriching journey.
Overnight travel to Delhi.

Day 05Arrival in Delhi

06:00 AM (approx.): Arrive in Delhi.
Arrival time may vary depending on road and traffic conditions.
We recommend planning onward travel only after 12 PM to avoid delays.

The trek is moderate, covering 16 km one way from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. It’s doable for beginners with basic fitness and preparation.

Do we get time for darshan at the temple?

Yes, ample time is given for temple darshan and exploration around Kedarnath.

What kind of accommodation is provided?

Basic guesthouses/hotels in Guptkashi or Sitapur, and camps or dorm-style guesthouses near Kedarnath temple. All accommodations are clean and backpacker-friendly.

Is the trip safe for solo travelers?

Yes, optional services like mules, palkis, or helicopters are available at your own cost. Our team can help you book them on the spot.

Cancellation policy

30 Days for the trip – We don’t charge you anything except your booking amount. Booking amount is non-refundable.
30 – 15 Days for the trip – If you’re canceling the trip and opting for a refund within this period then 50% of the total trip cost will be charged as a cancellation fee and remaining sum would be refunded.
15 – 07 Days for the trip – If you’re canceling the trip and opting for a refund within this period then 75% of the total trip cost will be charged as a cancellation fee and remaining sum would be refunded.
Less than 07 Days for the trip – If you’re canceling the trip and opting for a refund within this period then 100% of the total trip cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
You are not applicable for a refund if you fail to show up on the day of departure under the given timeline that has been provided to you beforehand.
If a trip is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc.) then the participants would be provided with a voucher for the same amount that can be used within 365 days of the issuance date for any package worth the same amount.
If a trip has to be aborted midway due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc.), in that case, no refund would be provided. Travassa Holidays will not bear any extra expense due to such circumstances.
