Itinerary

Day 00Overnight Bus to Manali

  • Board Volvo from Delhi in the evening
  • Get cozy—it’s a long overnight ride

The journey begins in chaos (aka Delhi traffic) and ends in pine-scented hills. Sleep if you can, or just vibe out to your road trip playlist.

Day 01Manali Acclimatization + Check-in Vibes

  • Arrive in Manali
  • Free time to explore Hadimba Temple or Manu Temple (on your own)
  • Evening briefing and group intro

Day one’s about catching your breath, both literally and mentally. You’ll meet your ride mates, maybe laugh over some shared nerves, and soak up the energy of what’s to come.

Day 02Manali to Jispa: Gears Kick In

  • Ride through Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel
  • Reach Jispa/Billing for the night
  • Hand over your bike keys to the road captain

The ride begins and suddenly it’s all mountains, rivers, and road. The cold starts to bite a little. The air’s thin. And just like that—you’re in it.

Day 03Jispa to Sarchu: Hello Altitude

  • Cross Baralacha La, Suraj Taal, Deepak Taal
  • Ride alongside Chandrabhaga River
  • Swiss camp night in Sarchu

This stretch will shake the city out of your bones. The pass is rough, the views are wild, and Sarchu? Cold, remote, and unforgettable.

Day 04Sarchu to Leh: Brutal and Beautiful

  • Cross Nakeela, Lachulung La, Tanglang La
  • Drive through More Plains
  • Reach Leh and rest

You’ll ride through every kind of terrain today. Mars-like plains, snaking roads, and then the buzz of Leh. You’ll crash into bed—and sleep like a rock.

Day 05Leh to Nubra Valley: Hairpins & Heartbeats

  • Ride through Khardung La
  • Visit Diskit Monastery & Sand Dunes
  • Optional camel ride in Hunder

Khardung La lives up to the hype. It’s freezing, it’s tough, and once you’re over it—the desert of Nubra Valley rolls out like a reward.

Day 06 Nubra to Pangong Tso: Offbeat Meets Epic

  • Ride via Shyok River or Wari La
  • Reach Pangong and switch off

You’ll ride past army routes, river crossings, and finally—Pangong Tso. The lake’s colors don’t make sense. But they’re real. And you’ll want to sit with them, in silence.

Day 07Pangong to Hanle: Stillness in Motion

  • Visit Rezang La War Memorial
  • Pass Loma Bend & Black Mountains
  • Optional stop at Hanle Observatory

Hanle’s got this quiet that feels ancient. The stars come out early here. And they stay.

Day 08Umling La & Demchok: The Summit Day

  • Ride to Umling La (yes, the top of the world)
  • Optional: Visit Demchok near Indo-China border
  • Return to Hanle/Nyoma

Today feels unreal. Umling La is remote, silent, punishing—and worth every breath. You’ll stand there and not believe you made it. But you did.

Day 09Nyoma to Leh: Hot Springs & Slow Cruising

  • Visit Chumathang Hot Springs
  • Stop at Thiksey Monastery and Rancho School
  • Back to Leh for dinner and downtime

This leg brings you back to base—but not before some photo ops, stories, and a few quietly shared sighs. It’s almost over.

Day 10Leh to Sarchu: One Last Ride

  • Ride back across mountain passes
  • Camp at Sarchu again

By now, your riding rhythm’s solid. Your gloves are broken in. Your thoughts are slower.

Day 11Sarchu to Manali: Bittersweet Descent

  • Final mountain stretch
  • Check into Manali hotel
  • Group dinner

That “we really did this” feeling starts to hit. There’ll be stories over chai. Some weird inside jokes. And a lot of nodding.

Day 12Manali to Delhi: Roll Credits

  • Morning check-out
  • Evening Volvo to Delhi

You’ll say goodbye. Maybe even hug that road captain you weren’t sure about. But it won’t feel like an end. More like a pause.
