Overview

Some places just feel made for two. Sikkim is one of them.

Between the quiet monasteries and foggy hills, tea gardens and frozen lakes, there’s something about this part of the world that invites closeness. Whether it’s your first trip together, a honeymoon, or an unplanned escape from the usual routine, this one’s built around moments that linger.

Itinerary

Day 01Arrival - Bagdogra/NJP to Kalimpong

  • Meet and greet at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station
  • Scenic drive to Kalimpong
  • Check into a hillside resort
  • Watch the sun dip behind mountains, tea in hand
  • Overnight stay in Kalimpong

The journey begins not with a rush, but with a slow climb into quiet hills. As you and your partner settle into Kalimpong, the noise fades. You’ll feel it—something shifts in the air. The roads wind gently, and the sunset does more than just change colors—it changes your pace. By nightfall, you’re somewhere else entirely, together.

Day 02Wander Kalimpong Together

  • Breakfast at the resort
  • Visit Durpin Monastery for stillness and views
  • Optional paragliding for thrill and laughter
  • Explore Kalimpong’s parks, temples, and local spots
  • Time for cafés, books, and casual shopping
  • Dinner at your stay
  • Overnight in Kalimpong

This day isn’t about seeing everything. It’s about discovering the joy of doing it together. Whether you’re soaring above the valley strapped into paragliding gear or sharing silence in a monastery courtyard, the point is: you’re side by side. Kalimpong has a way of giving you space to breathe, talk, or just walk without a plan.

Day 03Kalimpong to Gangtok: A Road Made for Two

  • Breakfast before check-out
  • Private transfer to Gangtok via Rangpo and Ranipool
  • Check-in to your honeymoon suite
  • Submit documents for Tsomgo Lake permits
  • Free evening: MG Marg, local drinks, and lazy strolls
  • Overnight stay in Gangtok

The road to Gangtok isn’t just scenic—it’s cinematic. The drive is full of moments you’ll want to pause and live in. Your hotel welcomes you with warmth, and the rest of the day? That’s yours. Maybe it’s a coffee on a rooftop, maybe it’s a slow dinner, maybe it’s a quiet smile on a balcony. Gangtok lets you choose.

Day 04Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir & Mountains That Echo

  • Early breakfast
  • Trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
  • Optional: Nathula Pass (subject to weather & permits)
  • Back to Gangtok by late afternoon
  • Visit Ganesh Tok or just unwind
  • Overnight stay in Gangtok

The drive to Tsomgo feels like entering a different world. The air thins, the colors change, and suddenly there’s a frozen lake right in front of you. It’s silent in the way only mountains can be. Whether you’re bundled up together by the lake or standing hand-in-hand at Baba Mandir, these are the kinds of moments you remember in pieces—and feel completely.

Day 05Gangtok to Namchi via Temi Tea Garden

  • Breakfast and scenic departure
  • Stop at Temi Tea Garden for photos and fresh air
  • Arrive in Namchi, check into a cozy resort
  • Visit Sai Baba Mandir, Rock Garden & Char Dham
  • Free evening for walks, markets, or nothing at all
  • Overnight stay in Namchi

Temi Tea Garden isn’t just a photo op—it’s a wide-open sky meeting rows of green with space between every breath. The road to Namchi is dotted with roadside chai, sleepy turns, and moments when you catch your partner looking out the window and smiling for no reason. In Namchi, everything feels slower, in the best way.

Day 06Departure from Namchi to Bagdogra/NJP

  • Early breakfast and check-out
  • Drive back to Bagdogra or NJP
  • One last hill, one last curve, one last look

The final day sneaks up on you. But that’s okay. You leave with full cameras, fuller hearts, and maybe a few inside jokes from the trip that no one else will get. You came here for peace and beauty—and you’re leaving with both.
